I recently bought two of these motion detector alarms. I had a couple of concerns before acquiring that the other reviewers hadn't answered. I'll try to give a total assessment to support other individuals who may be thinking of the purchase.
The units feel a bit low-priced, but they do work as described. They have two operating modes: chime and alarm - controlled by a tiny switch on the side of the remote. The chim mode sounds a doorbell like chime (fairly loud) when an individual moves across the beam. The alarm has a 45 second exit and 30 second entry time. A large number of individuals of course want a shorter entry time, fearing that a burglar would have too considerably time to get into the home.
A couple minor operating points. When the alarm is initial tripped starting the 30 second countdown, it sounds a single loud beep. That can be great or poor. It may possibly alert you, but it also alerts the intruder - maybe permitting him time to disable the alarm ahead of it sounds. When the alarm lastly does go off, hold you ears mainly because it's fairly loud at 120dB.
The remote uses a tiny watch type battery that is included. The remote is especially very simple to operate with "enable" and "disable" buttons.
