Client Testimonials
I recently bought two of these motion detector alarms. I had a couple of concerns before acquiring that the other reviewers hadn't answered. I'll try to give a total assessment to support other individuals who may be thinking of the purchase.
The units feel a bit low-priced, but they do work as described. They have two operating modes: chime and alarm - controlled by a tiny switch on the side of the remote. The chim mode sounds a doorbell like chime (fairly loud) when an individual moves across the beam. The alarm has a 45 second exit and 30 second entry time. A large number of individuals of course want a shorter entry time, fearing that a burglar would have too considerably time to get into the home.
A couple minor operating points. When the alarm is initial tripped starting the 30 second countdown, it sounds a single loud beep. That can be great or poor. It may possibly alert you, but it also alerts the intruder - maybe permitting him time to disable the alarm ahead of it sounds. When the alarm lastly does go off, hold you ears mainly because it's fairly loud at 120dB.
The remote uses a tiny watch type battery that is included. The remote is especially very simple to operate with "enable" and "disable" buttons. The motion sensor itself takes 3AA batteries that are not included. The units come with a plastic swivel wall-mount bracket, screws, and sheetrock inserts. The motion sensors will not sit flat on a table, simply because their bases are rounded.
The manufacturer apparently has a predicament with good quality manage. As other reviewers have pointed out, there is a predicament with the screw holding on the battery compartment. I purchased two units and the screw on one unit was crossthreaded into the plastic and impossible to eliminate without having stripping the head. The screw on the second unit came correct out with no any challenge. I've considering that exchanged the very first unit.
I hope this answers any remaining concerns. If not, please feel absolutely free to ask me.
Please be sort adequate to indicate if reviews are valuable.
I thank C. Perez for pointing out the length of delay. 30 seconds is way also substantially, if an intruder gets in although I sleep he/she could get to me ahead of the alarm even sounds. I want an alarm that goes of instantaneously -- it has a remote so there is no will need for a delay. I had purchased this at WM, will return it unopened.
