I purchased these to put on our back sliding doors so I'd know when the youngsters went outside. I like the chime function, its loud sufficient to hear by means of most of the house. They go on so readily, and are inexpensive. The alarm function is LOUD...so they'd operate fantastic for that objective, as well. There is also an off switch, so that's good.
I read the other critiques ahead of posting this 1. In the very first evaluation, the poster stated the alarm was loud sufficient to hear, in most of the house. I think that is a perfectly accurate statement.
The reason, I am only giving these alarms an average rating (three star) is simply because I want to be in a position to hear an alarm all through all the complete residence! I want the alarm to be loud enough to wake me in a dead sleep, from the other side of the property! I want an intrusion alarm to be loud enough to wake my neighbors (and there is NO way these alarms will)!
The package claimed the alarms were 120 db. As a person who is familiar with decibels, I can guaranty these alrms are NOWHERE near 120 db!
